Scientist – Process Development (Protein Fractionation)

ppbJob Description /b /p /ppAs a Scientist, you will join a Eurofins PSS team supporting process development activities in plasma-derived biopharmaceuticals at a client site in Bern. /ppYou will contribute to the development and optimization of protein fractionation processes, working within a structured scientific service environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams. /ppThe role combines hands-on experimental work with data analysis and scientific evaluation. /ppbResponsibilities /b /pliPlan, execute, and evaluate laboratory experiments related to process development using scale-down models /liliContribute to development and optimization of protein fractionation and purification processes /liliPerform advanced data analysis and interpret experimental results to support decision-making and continuous improvement /liliMaintain and optimize databases, ensuring data quality, integrity, traceability, and generation of meaningful insights to support process changes, investigations, and lifecycle management activities /liliPrepare protocols, reports, and technical documentation /liliSupport scale-up activities and process transfer to the pilot plant /liliCollaborate with Eurofins PSS team members and client stakeholders /liliEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and documentation standards /lippbQualifications /b /p /pliMSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or similar /liliExperience in protein purification (ÄKTA chromatography system) and process development /liliHands-on laboratory experience in bioprocessing and filtration (filter press systems) /liliStrong analytical and data evaluation skills /liliFamiliarity with DoE and statistical tools (e.g., JMP) is an advantage /liliGood scientific report writing and presentation skills /liliStructured and proactive working style /liliFluent in English and German language skills would be an advantage /lippbAdditional Information /b /p /ppbCompany Culture /b /ppAt Eurofins PSS, our company culture is deeply rooted in our four core values: Teamwork, Integrity, Superlative Customer Satisfaction, and Productivity.
