StellenbeschreibungpWe are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support the build-out and further development of a modern data platform in the insurance and reinsurance environment. /p pIn this role, you will help design, build and maintain a scalable data platform based on Databricks on Azure. The platform is intended to centralize fragmented data sources, establish data quality checks, organize data into meaningful business domains and provide reliable data layers for reporting, applications, analytics and future AI use cases. /p pThe platform supports key reinsurance processes, including underwriting, pricing, actuarial, reserving and finance. Data is ingested from various source systems, primarily SAP. /p ul li pBuild, maintain and optimize data pipelines in Databricks /p /li li pDesign and implement scalable Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture concepts /p /li li pStructure data into meaningful business domains /p /li li pDevelop and maintain Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers /p /li li pCreate Gold layers to support business use cases, especially applications, reports and analytics /p /li li pIntegrate and process data from multiple source systems, primarily SAP /p /li li pImplement data quality checks, monitoring and validation mechanisms /p /li li pSupport data modelling, database design, storage concepts and performance optimization /p /li li pContribute to governance, security and access management concepts /p /li li pSupport or build CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows /p /li li pSupport reporting requirements, most likely with Power BI and/or Databricks /p /li li pPrepare the data platform for future AI and advanced analytics use cases /p /li li pEnable easy onboarding of business users onto the data platform /p /li li pWork closely with infrastructure, architecture, business, reporting and data teams /p /li li pSeveral years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a comparable role /p /li li pStrong experience in building and maintaining data pipelines with Databricks /p /li li pSolid knowledge of Lakehouse Architecture and Medallion Architecture /p /li li pGood experience with cloud-based data platforms, ideally on Azure /p /li li pStrong understanding of data quality, data governance, security and access management /p /li li pExperience with data modelling, databases, storage technologies and performance optimization /p /li li pExperience with CI/CD concepts in a data engineering environment /p /li li pGood knowledge of the Databricks ecosystem and related components /p /li li pExperience with SAP data sources is a strong advantage /p /li li pExperience in insurance, reinsurance, finance or actuarial environments is beneficial /p /li li pKnowledge of Power BI and/or Databricks reporting is an advantage /p /li li pAbility to structure complex data landscapes and translate them into scalable solutions /p /li li pSenior, independent and structured working style /p /li li pStrong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders /p /li /ulbrpPROSTAFF vermittelt und besetzt Informatik- und Data Science-Projekte in der Schweiz mit Freiberuflern, Freelancern, Contractors und temporären Mitarbeitern. /p
