For our ambitious business scale-up we are looking for a strongSenior /strongstrongMechanical Engineer /strongto support the team and project managers with mechanical developments and processes. /ph4Your profile /h4pstrongJob Descriptionbr /strongstrongYour primary duties and responsibilities: /strongbrulliLeading technical projects /liliDesign CAD sub-assemblies and interfaces to larger CAD assemblies for optomechanical components and optoelectronic subsystems /liliPerform rigorous tolerance analyses to ensure mechanical feasibility of the designs /liliCreate detailed, tolerance 2D drawings with FAI (First Article Inspection) for optical mechanical components based on design for manufacturing considering supplier’s fabrication methods and metrology capabilities /liliEvaluate and select materials capable of achieving high-quality module performance while suitable for mass production /liliClose collaboration with external mechanical workshops and suppliers /liliSupport high quality standards and practices according to ISO9001 /li /ulbrstrongExperience Education /strong brstrongYour background: /strongbrulli3-5 years experience in a similar role /lilistrongOne of the following degrees: Höhere Fachschule (HF), Fachhochschule (FH), Bachelor's or /strongstrongMaster's Degree in /strong strongMechanical or Optomechanical Engineering /strong /liliExperience with CAD (SolidWorks) and PDM (3DExperience) software /liliKnowledge of mechanical and thermal properties of glass, plastic, metal, and electrical component materials commonly used in optical modules /liliExperience with bonding technologies, specifically with adhesive processes, epoxies, and UV-curable adhesives /liliKnowledge in the field of product development and the development of manufacturing processes is advantageous /liliStrong understanding of GDT (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing ) and mechanical metrology /liliUnderstanding the basic principles of optics, opto-mechanics and opto-electronics assembly in cleanroom conditions /liliFluent English and German are required /li /ulbrstrongConditions /strong brulliThe position is 80% to 100% (34-42 hours/week) /liliOne day of home office per week is possible /liliThe workplace is located at our headquarters near Zurich, Switzerland in Dübendorf /liliThe preferred starting date is as soon as possible /li /ulbrstrongContact /strong brIf you are interested in learning more about this opportunity and getting to know us,strong please submit your application (by clicking on the "Apply for this Job" button below).
