Full or Associate Professor,
Head of Cardiology Division

CHARGE: This is a joint University Hospital and Faculty position as Head of the Cardiology Division, including a part-time appointment as professor. This position is attached to the Hospital and Academic Departments of Medicine.

The candidate must have extensive clinical experience in cardiology as well as recognized management, communication and leadership qualities, to lead a large, high-volume university clinical division recognized as a center of excellence in Switzerland. Through his/her action, the candidate will supervise, organise and develop the activity within his/her division which comprise four areas: inpatient care, interventional cardiology, outpatient services, and radiology (ultrasound and PET scans).

He/she will have to maintain and strengthen existing relationships with other HUG divisions, with the Diagnostic Department for cardiovascular imaging, and will also have to maintain and develop strong links with peripheral clinics and hospitals.

The ability to lead high-level research in the field of cardiology is required, as well as proven mentoring, team management and teaching skills at the pre-graduate and post-graduate levels.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Doctorate in Medicine and specialization in Cardiology or equivalent qualifications.
• Good knowledge of French (C1 level)
• Relevant experience in research supervision and teaching.
• Publications in major international peer-reviewed journals.

START DATE: January 2027 or upon agreement
