Stellenbeschreibungph3Senior/Staff Security Engineer, Threat Intelligence /h3 h3About the Role /h3 pAnthropic sits at the frontier of AI development, making us a prime target for nation‑state and advanced criminal actors. The Threat Intelligence function within our Detection Response team ensures we see these adversaries coming. In this hands‑on practitioner role you will produce actionable intelligence that drives our detections, hunts, and defensive priorities. You will track the threats most likely to target a frontier AI lab, build tooling and pipelines that turn raw indicators into operational defenses, and work closely with detection engineers and incident responders to make intelligence translate into improved outcomes. This builder’s role gives broad latitude to shape how threat intelligence is collected, analyzed, and operationalized at Anthropic. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liResearch, track, and report on threat actors and campaigns targeting AI labs, cloud infrastructure, and the broader technology sector, producing timely, actionable intelligence for Security Engineering stakeholders. /li liBuild and maintain tooling and automated pipelines to collect, enrich, correlate, and operationalize indicators of compromise into our detection and alerting stack. /li liDevelop and execute intelligence‑driven threat hunts across endpoint, cloud, identity, and SaaS telemetry, turning findings into durable detections. /li liPerform technical analysis of malware, phishing infrastructure, and attacker tooling to extract indicators, TTPs, and attribution signals. /li liPartner with Detection Engineering and Incident Response to translate intelligence into detection rules, hunting hypotheses, and incident context in near‑real‑time. /li liCurate and triage inbound intelligence from commercial feeds, open source, government, and trusted peer relationships—prioritizing what matters for Anthropic's threat model. /li liContribute to threat models and risk assessments that inform security architecture and defensive investment across the enterprise. /li liBuild and maintain external intelligence‑sharing relationships with peer companies, ISACs, and government partners. /li liHave hands‑on experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat hunting, or intrusion analysis at an organization facing sophisticated adversaries. /li liHave deep, demonstrable knowledge of specific nation‑state or advanced criminal threat actors—their tooling, infrastructure patterns, tradecraft, and targeting. /li liBe a strong engineer: you write production‑quality Python (or similar), have built automation and data pipelines, and can build the tooling you need end‑to‑end. /li liBe comfortable performing malware analysis, infrastructure analysis (passive DNS, certificate pivoting, netflow), and log analysis to develop and validate your own findings. /li liHave experience authoring detection logic (YARA, Sigma, Snort/Suricata, or SIEM‑native queries) and understand what makes a detection durable versus brittle. /li liWrite clearly and concisely—your intelligence products are read and acted on, not filed away. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liHands‑on experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat hunting, or intrusion analysis at an organization facing sophisticated adversaries. /li liDeep, demonstrable knowledge of specific nation‑state or advanced criminal threat actors—their tooling, infrastructure patterns, tradecraft, and targeting. /li liStrong engineering skills: production‑quality Python (or similar), automation and data pipelines, end‑to‑end tooling. /li liExperience with malware, infrastructure (passive DNS, certificate pivoting, netflow), and log analysis. /li liExperience authoring detection content (YARA, Sigma, Snort/Suricata, SIEM queries) deployed in production. /li liClear and concise written communication. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExisting network in the threat intelligence community with productive intelligence sharing. /li liExperience defending cloud‑native and research‑heavy environments (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, ML infrastructure, developer tooling, and supply chain). /li liPrior work in a threat intelligence role tracking sophisticated or state‑sponsored adversaries, with analysis directly informing detection, hunting, and incident response. /li liExperience applying LLMs or other AI tooling to accelerate intelligence collection, enrichment, and analysis. /li liPublic research, conference talks, or open‑source contributions in the CTI space. /li /ul h3Logistics /h3 pMinimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
