AI Engineer

pAs a forward-thinking bAI Engineer /b, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions using Copilot, Power Platform, and other low-code/no-code tools. This role blends software engineering, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions across business domains. /pppbPosition Responsibilities: /b /p /pliHelps translate business and functional requirements into documented technical specifications or user stories. /liliCollaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate them into AI-driven solutions. /liliDesigns, develops, tests, delivers, maintains, and improves AI-driven applications as a member of a team, working across full-stack through the entire software development lifecycle. /liliDesign and build intuitive user interfaces, robust APIs, and scalable server-side logic. /liliApply disciplined coding practices to enable agility and delivery of high-quality code. /liliImplement design patterns, automation tools, and semantic versioning where and when available /liliPerform technical "spikes" to explore and mitigate risks associated with AI technologies. /liliTroubleshoot and optimize AI models and algorithms for performance and accuracy. /liliDocument deployment guides, maintenance plans, support materials, and business reports. /liliDeliver high-quality, scalable AI solutions integrated with API and enterprise platforms (e.g SharePoint, M365, Azure, ServiceNow, Salesforce, WD, etc). /liliEnsure responsible AI practices, including transparency, fairness, and compliance. /liliMonitor and maintain deployed agents, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability. /liliAmendable to working in QC (hybrid setup) and on a mid-shift schedule (or as required by the business) /lippbRequired Qualifications: /b /p /pliBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. /lili3+ years of experience in software development or automation, with at least 1 year in AI or low-code platforms. /liliHands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, designing technical requirements, and documenting data flows for low-code or API-based integrations. /liliFamiliarity with agentic AI concepts, including autonomous agents, memory, and goal-driven behavior. /liliFamiliarity with Azure AI services, Power BI, and Dataverse is a plus. /liliAbility to break down complex problems and design scalable, ethical AI solutions. /liliAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams. /liliAdaptability to evolving technologies and ethical AI design principles. /lippbPreferred Qualifications: /b /p /pliExperience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder), Copilot studio /liliKnowledge of MLOps, AI governance, and ethical AI frameworks. /liliBackground in enterprise integration (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce). /liliAbility to work in agile environments and cross functional teams. /lippbWhen you join our team: /b /p /pliWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. /liliWe’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. /liliAs part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see /lipbAbout Manulife and John Hancock /b /ppManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
