Sr Specialist SA – IMM EU-Central, Infrastructure Migration and Modernization

Do you have a background in Migrating and Modernization on-premise workloads to a cloud hyperscaler, do you also have commercial awareness necessary to help position AWS as the cloud provider? br/br/We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Solution Architect to join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) in the Infrastructure Migration and Modernization (IMM) team. This role will focus on our European South region based out of our Zurich office.br/br/As an IMM Solution Architect, you will help drive solutions for our customers who are aiming to migrate their workloads typically residing on VMware on premise solutions to AWS native technologies via our many VMware migration pathways. You will also have a good understanding of Microsoft technologies including .NET frameworks and other workloads including Linux, VDI, storage, database and Container solutions.br/br/br/Key job responsibilitiesbr/- Work alongside your aligned sales specialist to provide business support, develop go-to-market motions and scaling mechanisms within the EU-Central region. br/- Represent the voice of the customer; collaborate with field and EU-Central teams to bring customer feedback to product teams.br/- Provide specialist technical knowledge to your aligned specialist teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.br/- Collaborate with your WWSO colleagues to provide technical insights into GTM strategy and support field marketing to execute local technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements.br/- Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent br/- Create internal field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to migrate VMware on premise datacenters to AWS migration pathways.br/- Become an active member and contributor to the AWS Technical Field Community (TFC) within your specialist domain. br/br/ppbBASIC QUALIFICATIONS /b /p /p- 8+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of x86 based applications and infrastructurebr/- 6+ years management of technical, customer facing peoplebr/- 6+ years of experience in migrating and modernising Microsoft workloads to cloudbr/- Experience with VMware or similar datacenter hypervisor solutionsbr/- Experience migrating and transforming Linux, Storage and Databases to the cloudbr/ppbPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS /b /p /p- History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.br/- Experience in datacenter consolidation and private cloud solutions including vSphere with cloud automationbr/- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.br/- Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologiesbr/- AWS Industry certifications such as - VMware VCP/VCAP, Microsoft Azure Certifications, AWS Solution Architectbr/br/
