Platform Engineer

ppbRole /b /p /p pYou will build and own the platform that makes Visium's products reliable, scalable, and secure across every customer environment we operate in. Our deployment model requires running software inside customer cloud tenants, which means you will be managing infrastructure across multiple regulated environments simultaneously, each with its own compliance and data residency requirements. /ppThis is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You will work closely with the engineering team to build the core infrastructure abstractions everyone relies on, set reliability standards, and make sure we can scale without breaking things. /ppKey Responsibilities: /pliDesign, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure across Azure (primary) and AWS using Pulumi and Terraform /liliBuild and manage container orchestration environments for our agentic AI services, data pipelines, and API backends /liliArchitect and maintain our dual-deployment SaaS model, enabling secure, isolated deployments within customer cloud tenants /liliImplement and enforce security controls, data residency requirements, and audit trail infrastructure aligned with GxP and SOC 2 requirements /liliBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines that allow the engineering team to ship reliably and safely /liliSet up and own observability: monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing across all environments /liliContribute to incident response and lead post-incident learning /liliBuild developer-friendly infrastructure abstractions that reduce friction and improve engineering velocity /lipbRequirements /b /ppYou are a backend engineer at heart who has gone deep on infrastructure and platform work, and thrives in environments where the stakes are high and the problems are real: /pliStrong software engineering background, ideally in backend systems, with deep infrastructure and platform know-how built on top of it /liliHands-on experience with Azure (required) and AWS /liliProficient with Pulumi (preferred) or Terraform for infrastructure as code /liliStrong Kubernetes experience: deployment, scaling, observability, and reliability /liliSolid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices /liliExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines /liliComfortable with Python and scripting for automation /liliExperience with observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar /liliAutonomous, proactive, and serious about reliability /lipNice to have /pliExperience deploying software within customer cloud tenants or managed application patterns /liliFamiliarity with GxP, SOC 2, HIPAA, or other regulated industry compliance requirements /liliExperience with multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure /liliPulumi experience specificallybr/ /lipWe know that great candidates might not check every box.
