StellenbeschreibungGlion Summer Program - Residential Chaperone Temporary contract / Glion, Switzerland Responsibilities: Breakfast support * Assist with morning wake-up routines and ensure participants head to breakfast and their first sessions on time * Provide a friendly, structured presence to start the day smoothly before handing responsibilities over to daytime staff Evening activities * Support the final block of daily programming, helping students shift from "active mode" to "quiet time" * Supervise evening social events (e.g., movie nights, game nights, award ceremony...) Curfew & bedtime routine * Conduct evening roll calls and ensure all participants are in their assigned rooms by curfew * Communicate expectations for noise levels, and overall bedtime conduct * Help create a calm, reassuring nighttime atmosphere Safety monitoring and policy enforcement * Perform regular rounds of the residential floors to ensure doors that rules are respected * Act as a visible, reliable point of contact for students during non-program hours * Uphold all program rules with consistency, fairness, and empathy * Redirect inappropriate behavior and reinforce community guidelines in a supportive, student-centered way Emergency response * Serve as the primary contact for any student's needs or issues that arise during the evening and punctually overnight * Collaborate with our security team to address health, safety, or facility concerns promptly Reporting & communication * Keep a daily log of any incidents, student concerns, or maintenance issues * Brief the Summer Camp Manager and daytime staff each morning to ensure seamless continuity of care Punctual support during day excursions * Provide occasional support on daytime excursions as needed, helping supervise student groups, assist staff, and ensuring participant safety during off-campus activities Profile and experiences: * First aid qualified preferred * Eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU/EFTA work authorization) * Fluent in English and French * Experience working with youth (summer camps, boarding schools, tutoring, coaching, after-school programs) * Comfortable working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds * Ability to remain calm and composed during unexpected or stressful moments (e.g., homesickness, minor incidents) * Strong situational awareness and the ability to distinguish between a minor rule break and a serious safety risk * Ability to ensure the physical and emotional safety of minors in a residential setting * Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other staff and maintain a positive team dynamic * Ability to work a variable schedule Other information: * Location: GIHE Sàrl, Route de Glion 111, 1823 Glion * Type of contract: hourly paid contract * Dates of the contract: from July 12th, 2026, to August 2nd, 2026 * A room on campus will be provided for the duration of the contract * Meals included #J-18808-Ljbffr
