Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) for our Zurich-area data centers. This role leads physical security operations across multiple sites, reporting directly to the Cluster Security Manager.

Key job responsibilities
Responds to Security situations as they arise, based on the direction of the Cluster or Regional Security Manager
• Supports the on-site contractor Security team as the primary security contact during the shift and provides guidance based upon existing Physical Security Standards and local SOP’s.
• Reports all unusual events to the Cluster Manager in a timely manner.
• Provides guidance and direction to the contract security officers to maximize the effectiveness of the Security department.
• Oversees access control systems and badge deliveries.
• Investigates security events via the alarm and CCTV monitoring system.
• Cooperates and coordinates with the Security Operation Center during security incidents or any other security related matter.
• Creates and constantly improves procedures, processes and workflows using data and metrics to identify issues and areas of improvements.
• Develops specific knowledge of the various operational process paths within the Data Center to identify security vulnerabilities.
• Perform various security inspections, audits and investigations as required and as instructed.
• Travel to other geographic regions as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- hands on experience in a similar role within the public or private security industry, with demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and ability to integrate into an international work environment.
- Flexibility and availability to be on-call to support out-of-business-hours emergencies both remotely and on-site.
- Willingness and ability to travel on company business to Data Centers within the Cluster and abroad.
- Valid driving license with eligibility to drive in Switzerland.
- 3+ years of experience within similar role in the public or private security industry.
- 3+ of continuous use of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word.
- 3+ of experience using data and metrics to improve processes and/or customer satisfaction.
- Ability to integrate into an international work environment with a willingness to travel on company business.
- Must have the ability to be on-call to support out of business hours emergencies remotely and on-site.
- English verbal and written communication skills with attention to details.
- Must be prepared and have the ability to work and travel to Data Centers in the Cluster and abroad.
- Must have current driving license and be eligible to drive in Switzerland.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems
