Senior Legal Officer

ppAs a Senior Legal Officer, you will be part of the Legal Department. Your responsibilities include: /p ul liLeading complex litigation matters and complaints, including formulating and recommending tailored dispute resolution strategies for individual cases, retaining responsibility for the coordinated conduct of disputes (from internal alignment to the instruction and oversight of external counsel), and representing the Bank in court proceedings where appropriate /li liStructuring, drafting, and negotiating contracts and/or any other documentation of the Bank with a focus on securities trading /li liAdvising internal stakeholders on the legal aspects of the Bank’s projects, including innovative banking services and implementation of new technologies, providing strategic legal guidance and proactively proposing risk‑based, business‑oriented solutions /li liPreparing legal research on banking and financial law and monitoring regulatory changes /li liTaking ownership of the drafting, implementation and review of internal policies and procedures /li /ul pAs an equal opportunity employer, we welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives to join our team and contribute to our shared success. /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liEducation: Master degree in Swiss Law and Swiss bar exam. Any additional qualification such as an LL.M or a CAS are considered an asset /li liExperience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry or related fields, with a proven track record of handling complex and sensitive banking and/or commercial matters /li liExperience handling litigation matters post‑bar exam, particularly in regulated environments, is considered an asset /li liLanguages: Perfect command of English and French, working knowledge of German (perfect command of German being an asset) /li liSkills: ul liAffinity with innovation and banking finance law; understanding of related legislation /li liProficiency in assessing legal risks with a keen understanding of business implications /li liStrong written and communication skills across functions and stakeholders /li liAbility to operate independently as a trusted legal advisor, while engaging collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation /li /ul /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
