ph3About This Role /h3pSCB Environmental Markets seeks a highly motivated professional to join our Nyon, Switzerland office. Working closely with our international team, the successful candidate will help negotiate and close trades with first class counterparties in the international metals markets, on physical and derivative products. This is an opportunity to join a growing team for SCB globally. Our ideal candidate is confident, adaptable, builds relationships easily and interacts well under pressure. /ph3Who We Look For /h3pCandidates should be interested in a career within the environmental, commodity or financial markets. Our ideal candidate should have: /pulliA degree in environmental studies, commodities, energy economics, business or relevant work experience. /liliA minimum of 2 years of commercial experience in a business-to-business role, preferably as a commodity sales trader or in the brokerage industry. /liliFluency in English, any other language skills would be beneficial. /li /ulpYou should possess the following skills and competencies: /pulliHave relevant knowledge of metal markets and be able to present this knowledge. /liliBe a self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative. /liliHave excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. /liliPossess strong technology skills. /liliHave an entrepreneurial mindset and be a team player. /li /ulh3What You Will Do /h3pYou will be responsible for: /pulliNegotiating and closing trades physical and derivative trades on behalf of properly qualified counterparties. /liliProspecting for new clients in the metals market. /liliMaintaining relationships with existing clients and identifying further trade opportunities for them. /liliDeveloping new markets for SCB in battery metals or other low carbon commodities. /liliActively engaging with operation, legal and compliance departments and ensuring thorough risk management, trade execution, post-trade discipline and overall quality control in line with SCB guidelines. /li /ulh3Why Work for SCB /h3pWe're building a diverse and inclusive work environment where we learn from each other.
