May also be licensed in accordance with the Illinois Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology Practice Act; may hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CC) from the American Speech‑Language Hearing Association. /li /ul h3Knowledge Skills /h3 ul liAbility to read, analyze, and interpret professional periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. /li liAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. /li liAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups. /li liAbility to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts to practical solutions. /li liAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. /li liAbility to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. /li liAbility to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program. /li liAbility to plan and implement lessons based on District and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. /li liAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents, and community. /li liAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. /li liAbility to perform all duties with the awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies. /li liAble to regularly sit and occasionally walk and stand. /li liSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. /li liAble to hear conversations in a quiet and/or noisy environment, and will continually need the ability to differentiate between bells, buzzers, etc. /li /ul h3Duties and Essential Job Functions /h3 ul liIdentifies and evaluates students with speech and language impairments. /li liParticipates in the determination of eligibility for special education and related services in the area of speech and language impairment. /li liParticipates in teacher and parent conferences, including multidisciplinary conferences, IEP meetings, and annual reviews. /li liDevelops and implements IEPs for all students eligible for special education and related services in the area of speech and language impairment. /li liProvides in‑service programs to parents, teachers, students, administrators, and other professionals. /li liCompletes required documents and reports. /li liParticipates on child study and teacher assistance teams. /li liFacilitates curriculum and instructional modifications. /li liParticipates in continuing professional education. /li /ul h3Other /h3 ul liPerform other duties as assigned. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
