OMS Lead Engineer

ph3We're looking for an OMS Lead Engineer to join our team in Geneva and Zurich, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode. /h3 pIn this role, you will lead the technical delivery of a Unified Commerce Order Management System (OMS) based on Fluent Commerce SaaS for a leading luxury goods company. The OMS is a strategic solution within the client’s Unified Commerce domain, supporting end-to-end order orchestration, inventory visibility, sourcing logic and distributed order management across multiple brands and markets. /p pYou will provide technical leadership, hands-on development and coordination of a distributed team, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with Fluent Commerce architecture and operational standards. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead a team of six OMS/Java developers, providing technical and delivery guidance, task coordination and quality oversight /li liBring strong hands-on Fluent Commerce/Fluent OMS expertise to support solution design, feature development and issue resolution /li liContribute as a backend engineer by developing and enhancing OMS capabilities, resolving defects and guiding the team on scalable and maintainable implementation patterns /li liCreate and review technical specifications and technical user stories /li liSupport backlog refinement and ensure development readiness of requirements /li liImplement backlog items and oversee unit test automation /li liContribute to PI Planning sessions and Quarterly Alignment Days (QADs) /li liCoordinate release preparation and production deployments, maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines and ensuring reliability across AWS, GitLab, Spring Boot, WebFlux, MongoDB and Python-based components /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liProven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Backend Engineer in Order Management Systems, preferably with Fluent Commerce OMS /li liStrong proficiency in Java and backend development frameworks such as Spring Boot and WebFlux /li liHands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab /li liSolid understanding of distributed order management, inventory visibility and order orchestration concepts /li liExperience integrating third-party SaaS solutions and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Commercetools) /li liFamiliarity with unit test automation and best practices in software quality assurance /li liExcellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across distributed teams /li liStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution and continuous improvement /li liFluent English, both written and spoken; French proficiency is a strong advantage /li /ul h3We offer /h3 ul li5 weeks of vacation /li liEPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) /li liEnhanced parental leave /li liExtended pension plan /li liDaily sickness allowance insurance /li liEmployee assistance program /li liGlobal business travel medical and accident insurance /li liLearning and development opportunities including in-house training and coaching, professional certifications, and courses /li /ul pPlease note that any offers will be subject to appropriate background checks /p pWe do not accept CVs from recruiting or staffing agencies /p pFor this position, we are able to consider applications from the following: /p ul li- Swiss nationals /li li- EU/EFTA nationals /li li- Third-country nationals based in Switzerland with an appropriate work permit /li li- Displaced people from Ukraine who are currently in Switzerland and hold, or have already applied for, S permits /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
