Junior Trust Accountant

A dynamic and familial Trust is looking for a new Trust Accountant in Geneva.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements for companies and trusts for audit or direct submission to clients and regulators.
• Manage client accounting and participate in client meetings, explaining accounting matters clearly.
• Supervise Bookkeeping and provid technical guidance and support.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies with Trust Managers, clients, and advisors.
• Prepare ad-hoc cash flow reports, financial projections, and periodic reporting.
• Process finalisation journals into accounting records.

Profile:

• ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in offshore trust & company accounting; experience with Swiss accounting is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, foreign currency accounting, and accounting systems.
• Step certificate is a plus.
• Understanding of Trust and Company Law, UK tax-related matters, and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus).
• Proficiency in accounting software and strong spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to prepare accounts for various structures (property, investment, etc.).
• Client-oriented, autonomous, and able to work in a team.
