Construction Economist

We are a family-run company based in Geneva with around 300 employees.

As part of the development of our general and total contracting activities, we are seeking the expertise and know-how of a

Construction Economist

You will be responsible for preparing and calculating general contracting bids for housing, office, or functional building projects. In this role, your main tasks will be:

• Attending coordination meetings with project managers
• Consulting subcontractors and agents
• Carrying out measurements for files and tenders
• Preparing and analysing bids and specifications
• Conducting feasibility studies, proposing alternatives
• Estimating costs of various CFCs and making comparisons
• Maintaining and updating price databases and item libraries
• Participating with management in negotiation meetings with clients

Your profile:

• You have an engineering degree or a degree in construction economics
• Proven experience of 3 to 5 years as a construction economist in Switzerland
• Knowledge of SIA standards and standard market prices
• You are versatile and proactive
• You know how to manage priorities
• With good interpersonal skills, you can advise and support internal and external partners
• You are precise and rigorous in your work
• You have excellent knowledge of Office and Attic software, and have already worked with Autocad software
