Would you like to improve knowledge and care in children with asthma? Would you like to implement evidence-based medical practice?
In this position, you will take part in the Swiss Paediatric Airway Cohort (SPAC) study. This is an ongoing large clinical cohort study of children seen in multiple respiratory outpatient clinics in Switzerland, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.
Asthma is the most common chronic disease in childhood. Yet, diagnosing asthma is challenging because it is a heterogenous disease highly variable over time without a gold standard diagnostic test.
The factors that predict asthma outcomes remain poorly understood. We aim to improve foundational knowledge about asthma diagnosis and to develop prognostic models to predict short-term symptom trajectories and long-term disease persistence.
We look for an experienced research fellow , who will co-lead a research group of 4-6 people on childhood asthma.
