Venture Analyst (100%, Zurich) at Carbon Removal Partners Carbon Removal Partners (CRP) is a Zurich based investment advisor that initiated one of the world’s first venture capital funds dedicated to startups across the Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) value chain. With a fund portfolio of 15 companies and growing, it is CRP’s ambition to identify and support the most promising entrepreneurs in the formative stage of their companies, helping them scale into global leaders. We at CRP are an interdisciplinary team with backgrounds in engineering, science, and finance, combining technical expertise with investment experience.We are now expanding with aVentureAnalyst position, based in Zurich. As aVenture Analyst , you will be an integral part of the team, gaining hands-on experience at the intersection of sourcing, due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and operational tasks. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-moving environment focused on entrepreneurial climate impact and innovation. Responsibilities : Become a lead expert for specific CDR verticals (e.G. ERW) within CRP : Stay up to date on the latest research frontiers, including screening and reviewing literature and engaging with researchers. Proactively source, screen, and evaluate startups in the field to identify investment opportunities. Collaborate in developing and refining investment theses based on business models, profitability drivers, and technological opportunities. Monitor market dynamics, adjacent technologies, and regulatory developments that could impact investments. Be a proactive member of the venture team : Support the team in the due diligence process, preparing documents for the investment advisory committee (investment memoranda, financial models, techno economic analysis). Develop and analyze quantitative models (e.G. commercial legal terms, techno economic analysis (TEA), valuation models). Cross functional tasks : Take ownership in supporting the fund portfolio through regular catch-ups, valuable introductions, market insights and various other angles. Manage portfolio monitoring and reporting activities at the intersection of fund operations. Actively build and maintain a dedicated network with relevant stakeholders. Support the management and build-out of CRP’s CRM infrastructure, ensuring efficient tracking of deal flow and interactions. Skills and Experience : Master’s degree or higher in STEM subject. Operational experience at a startup, research group, or venture capital fund is a strong plus. Communication skills, fluency in English is required, and German is a plus. Exceptional analytical skills and ability to transfer them to new challenges and areas. Experience with financial models, financial analysis and TEAs is highly desirable. Experience with Python or other programming languages is a plus. Personality : Proactive, with a “can do” attitude. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Passionate about ongoing technological challenges, business models, and ways to create sustainable value. Comfortable working in informal, collaborative team settings.
