For our customer based in Zurich we are looking for a highly qualified Senior Project Manager (f / m / d).

Background :

The Senior Project Manager represents the company towards the customer and is entirely responsible for the contract fulfilment.

The Senior Project Manager self-responsibly manages and executes customer projects ( one-off ) and internal projects (R&D, IC support) with a contract value >

3 Mio EUR to fulfill the customer and company requirements as to ensure that the approved contribution margin and cash flow is achieved and optimized.

He / she is responsible for commercially and technically successful project delivery and positive customer feedback to enable new opportunities and strengthen footprint with the customer.

Tasks & Responsibilities :

Commercial and technical project responsibility including its reasonable structuring, planning, budgeting, controlling and execution until the contractual project end, incl organization breakdown, work breakdown structure, work packages, project phasing, milestone planning, milestone achievement planning.

Manage the Project Team, Communication within the Project Team, with Department and Group Heads and with the customer

Continuously monitor, control and report project costs, sales (AC, BTG, TAC), risks, schedule and progress. Prepare Change proposals and Claims (internal or customer driven) and lead the negotiation of changes / claims with the customer project team.

Implement changes after approval (internally and customer).

Optimize project contribution margin and cash flow by reducing costs, and / or increasing sales, as well as challenging the technical solutions provided by the team from a performance-to-cost and design-to-cost perspective

Be responsible for Up-to-date Scheduling, Project Controlling, Project Reporting, Project Management in ERP, Risk Management, Resource Demand Management.

Escalate to line management / division management if needed

Ensure the contractual obligations, as well as internal directives are adhered to (e.g. export control)

Conclude and Organize the Project Closeout, obtain regular Customer Feedback, and support marketing & sales activities to generate follow-up business.

Must Haves :

• Commercial focus and strong technical affinity within mechanics and mechatronics for ultra precision applications
• At least five years experience in managing and overseeing complex customer projects, including contract and claim management
• Strong Business Acumen and negotiation as well as presenting skills
• Profound and proven contractual negotiation skills
• Able to recognise and exploit Risk and Reward scenarios.
