SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMMES ASSISTANT

For an international organisation in the medical/scientific sector, we are looking for a Scientific Programmes Assistant to join their team in Lugano.

This role supports the preparation and coordination of scientific and educational programmes linked to major congresses and conferences.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and logistical support for scientific and educational events
• Coordinate communications with speakers, scientific committees, and abstract authors
• Assist with document management (emails, meeting minutes, action plans, presentations)
• Update and manage content across websites, event platforms, and internal systems
• Ensure accuracy of programme data and liaise with external providers (agencies, tech platforms)

Requirements

• University degree (preferably in science, communications, or event management)
• Fluent in English (C1/C2); additional languages are a plus
• Previous experience in scientific event coordination, programme support, or administrative roles
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and team-oriented mindset
• Confident with Microsoft Office and digital tools (CMS, event tech, databases)
