As a Software Developer with a focus on Java Backend (m / f / d) for the area of "Event and Incident Management and our Geoinformation System (GIS)", you will work on new functions and resolve incidents that occur in national and international customer environments in the field of local public transport - become part of our team soon!

As part of a dynamic Scrum team, you will develop innovative applications for our customers, particularly in the area of incident and fault management and our geoinformation system (GIS).

You will use the Spring Framework and Java to offer customized solutions.

Our range of tasks is as diverse as it is challenging and extends from requirements gathering and development to the successful installation of applications.

By using manual tests, unit tests and end-to-end tests, you guarantee consistently high quality for our solutions.

• You will also be responsible for carrying out extensive system tests and make a significant contribution to optimizing our applications by precisely documenting these tests in the form of bug tickets.
• In your day-to-day work, you will mainly work with technologies and systems such as Java, Spring Boot, Postgres and REST.

You will use Spring Boot integration and JUnit tests for testing.

You will also use Microsoft Azure DevOps, GitHub Copilot, Jira and Git to make the development process efficient.

What you bring with you :

• You have a degree in IT or have acquired your technical expertise through practical (professional) experience
• You draw on your broad practical experience in software development with Java (and similar programming languages)
• You are fascinated by software engineering and have a passion for programming
• Fluency in German and English helps you in technical exchanges with colleagues and customers
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot is desirable
• Ideally, you already have some experience with cloud technologies (Linux / Kubernetes) and can contribute this or would like to acquire it in the medium term
