Who We Are

TJC Partners AG was founded in early 2025 by two partners. No external capital, no investors. What we have is a clear idea of what we want to build and the track record to prove it is working. Our clients include large international advisory and law firms as well as specialised mid-market firms and spin-off boutiques. They work with us in the context of mergers, office openings, team moves and partner placements.

Eighteen months post-founding we have grown by 500%, are still fully bootstrapped, profitable from day one, and one of the fastest-growing executive and C-suite search firms in the DACH region. Our core focus are the Legal, Tax and Audit markets, and that is exactly where we intend to build a market-leading position over the next few years. We are building out our transaction advisory and succession advisory offering in parallel, with the long-term goal of becoming one of Europe’s leading search and advisory firms.

The next step in our growth journey is an expansion into the UK legal market, where many of our existing legal clients have a large presence.

That is the plan. We are looking for people who want to help build it.

Why Now

We are expanding our legal practice into the UK market, run out of our Zurich base. The UK legal market is one of the most sophisticated and active in the world, and we are building our presence in it now. Whoever joins this desk at this stage will shape what TJC Partners looks like in the UK in five years’ time, and has the opportunity to grow into a leadership role as the desk scales.

What to Expect

You will learn the craft properly. From the first client conversation through to candidate research, direct outreach, strategic market coverage and your first close. No back-office phase, no waiting around. You are in from day one, you take on real responsibility quickly, and you get to know one of the most complex and rewarding markets in professional services.

The UK legal market operates across Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US firms with London offices, boutiques and in-house legal teams. Understanding it takes time and commitment. We will give you both, alongside everything else you need to become genuinely credible in it.

And because performance should pay off, every placement, every relationship built and every mandate won counts for you too.

Tasks

• Identify, approach and qualify candidates across the UK Legal market from Zurich, building a pipeline of qualified solicitors, barristers and senior legal professionals
• Run search mandates end to end, from the initial client briefing through candidate delivery and offer management to a successful close
• Build lasting relationships with candidates and clients in the UK Legal market that go well beyond the individual placement
• Develop a deep understanding of the UK legal market landscape, including strategic growth plans of its leading firms and their implications on career opportunities for junior and senior candidates up to multi-million pound earning Partners
• Strengthen the market perception of TJC Partners in the UK through consistently high-quality advisory work

Requirements

• A degree or equivalent experience. The subject does not matter, your drive does
• A genuine desire to build something, not just be part of something
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage clearly and confidently with senior people
• The ability to work independently and stay organised, even when things get demanding
• A team mentality. We are a small team and we back each other
• Fluent English, written and spoken. German is a plus
