The Position

Scientist in Biopharmaceutics (temporary contract for 3 years)

The position is part of the Biopharmaceutics Team in the Synthetic Molecules Drug Product Development organization. As a member of the Biopharmaceutics team, you will be part of a collaborative group of research associates and scientists, in which you will be co-creating advanced biopharmaceutics approaches to address formulation challenges of the future. We are currently looking for a highly motivated Scientist in Biopharmaceutics to provide fundamental understanding of in vivo drug product performance and define adequate biopharmaceutics strategies at all stages of clinical development (formulation selection, formulation bridging strategies, clinically-relevant DS and DP specifications, etc.).

In this role your responsibilities will include :

Develop and apply state-of-the-art biopharmaceutics in vitro methods to generate mechanistic understanding of in vivo performance of standard and advanced drug delivery systems

Apply in silico physiologically-based biopharmaceutics models to predict in vivo performance of oral formulations and other routes of administration

Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with experts at the interface between clinical and technical development (formulation development, DS and DP analytics, DMPK, clinical pharmacology, M&S, regulatory, SM research etc.)

Author and review technical reports, patent applications, and parts of regulatory documents to support filings

Collaborate with distinguished scientists in academia to strive for excellence in biopharmaceutics and develop new advanced technologies for absorption prediction

You hold an advanced degree in biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology, orrelated field or with >

5 years of relevant experience in biopharmaceutics).

Additional experience in drug product development of oral dosage forms is an advantage.

You havesignificantexperience with state-of-the-art biopharmaceutics in vitro methods for oral DP performance testing

Youhave relevant hands-on experience withphysiologically-basedbiopharmaceutics modeling software Gastroplus / DDDPlus, Simcyp / SIVA)

You have capability to strive for excellent results and implement innovative solutions with a high level of motivation

You are able to interact effectively with people, strong commitment to teamwork

You have willingness to work in a highly dynamic environment where you can bring in your creativity and continuously develop your scientific knowledge

You have good communication skills with proficiency in German or English
