Optotune is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer market.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our research and development team working on product development. The R&D intern will work under the guidance of senior engineers to assist with ongoing research, development, and testing of new products. This is a full-time internship position for a duration of a minimum 10 months, starting in July.

Tasks

• Participate in the development and execution of test procedures for product and process validation
• Engage in process improvement initiatives
• Build, standardize and document prototype subassemblies
• Assist with the characterization of prototypes and documentation of test results
• Support reliability and quality activities throughout the product lifecycle, from early development to series production
• Build, standardize, document and maintain test setups and fixtures
• Perform measurements and tests for quality control of incoming and outgoing goods
• Analyze test data and prepare reports in collaboration with engineers
• Contribute to failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Work closely with project managers, product development engineers, and process engineers
