JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager with a strong background in US contracts to join our Contract Management and Legal team.

The Contract Manager will work closely with the Legal team to update contract language, develop contract templates, and improve contract management processes within the Contract Management System (CLM). This role involves providing consultative contracting feedback to the Negotiator team and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts, including pharmaceutical manufacturers. The successful candidate will also participate in strategic initiatives and lead special cross-team projects as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON :

• Collaborate with the Contract Management team to initiate contract language updates, draft contract language using various contract templates, and contract management systems as needed.
• Provide contracting support on specific contract language within separate business matrix tool to review that commercial offerings are in alignment with contract terms.
• Collaborate with the Negotiator team and leadership to provide consultative contracting feedback in facilitating strategic business review vision, objectives, strategy, and presentation content.
• Make daily decisions about business-related language issues independently, working closely with the assigned Negotiator on pharmaceutical manufacturer accounts, with medium to high complexity.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts, serving as the first point of contact for pharmaceutical manufacturers regarding contract matters.
• Provide consultative feedback to Negotiators across all assigned accounts, leveraging business knowledge.
• Develop an understanding of rebate and inflation agreements and think critically to negotiate business terms in Ascent Health Services' best interest.
• Participate in other strategic initiatives and lead special cross-team projects as assigned, working largely independently as the legal team representative.
