We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scientist (Analytical Expert) for a contract position in Basel, until the end of 2025. In this role, you will perform and document laboratory experiments related to drug substances (DS) and drug products (DP) while collaborating with multifunctional project teams. Responsibilities Plan, conduct, and document scientific experiments, including method development, validation, transfers, stability and release testing, and formulation development analytics, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to timelines. Analyze and interpret experimental data, addressing issues such as SST failures, deviations, and change controls as required. Ensure all data is accurately recorded in systems like LIMS and maintain compliance with good documentation (GDP) and laboratory practices (GLP). Manage laboratory operations by overseeing inventory and proper use of chemicals, reagents, consumables, samples, columns, and glassware. Communicate critical updates and findings to managers and project teams proactively and contribute to achieving team and organizational goals. Maintain compliance with relevant guidelines, including GMP, GLP, HSE, and company policies, while meeting key quality and performance indicators. Requirements Relevant working / residency permit or Swiss / EU-Citizenship required Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, such as Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Development. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a GMP-compliant environment with a solid understanding of regulatory and quality expectations. Strong technical expertise in analytical chemistry and method development, paired with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Effective communication skills, including the ability to present findings and write scientific documentation. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
