Laboratory Technician, R&D Process Development (Proteins) (60-100%)

Job Description

For our customer, an internationally leading pharmaceutical company in Bern, we are currently looking to hire a Laboratory Technician (Protein Analytics).

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

Responsibilities :

• Perform experiments, document your work accurately, and verify results
• Conduct routine maintenance and calibration on critical instrumentation
• Perform routine analytical measurements (HPLC, Filtration)
• Prepare buffers for experiments
• Manually operate complex filtration systems
• Operate automated processes, including process monitoring

Qualifications

Lab technician education (EFZ Biology / Chemistry) or bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology (or equivalent institution of higher education) in a relevant field.

Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or food industry is also valued

• Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a team as well as semi-autonomously; establish priorities and proceed with objectives according to the team's goals
• Think outside of the box to find solutions to problems
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Language proficiency : Fluent in German and English
