Data Engineer – Switzerland- Hedge Fund - Oil and Gas

Responsibilities

• Develop, highly scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Design and implement efficient database architectures to support the storage and retrieval of large datasets.
• Collaborate with quants and data scientists to understand their data needs and provide timely and reliable data support.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through effective dataernance and management practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree inputer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the financial industry.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow).
• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong understanding of AWS.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (, Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data architecture and ETL processes.
