Structural Engineer

Santiago Calatrava seeks experienced STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS to work on unusual and demanding international building and bridge projects in our Head Office in Zurich.

Tasks

• Structural design in building and bridge construction throughout all phases of design
• Technical project management
• Development of structural concepts in reinforced concrete, steel and timber construction
• Coordination of construction drawings
• Coordination with other disciplines and specialists
• Preparation of the structural reports and tender documentation
• Presentation of the planning results
• Dependent on the applicant's profile: project management and client / stakeholder management

Requirements

• University Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years experience (post graduate)
• Chartered, Professional Engineer or equivalent status (or working towards such an accreditation)
• Experience on medium/large scale building, bridge or other infrastructure projects preferably from Concept design through to Construction on site
• Experience coordinating with other consultants
• Experience in FEM modelling software. Candidates with experience using Sofistik, SAP2000 or Cubus software suites will be treated preferentially.
• Fluent in English and/or German. Other languages are considered a plus.
• You are organised and efficient. You are able to work independently as well as part of a team. You have great communication skills.
• EU or Swiss Nationality or otherwise eligible for employment in Switzerland
