ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Research & Innovation Digital Transformation, within the Research & Innovation Department, the primary objective of this role is to leverage data to support strategic decision-making and enhance innovation performance.

You will work at the intersection of data engineering, data science, digital transformation strategy, and technology.

The primary responsibilities of this role will include :

  • Data Strategy Development :
  • Support senior leadership to define the innovation data strategy.
  • Identify strategic opportunities where data can create value, improve efficiency, and drive competitive advantage.
  • Support the development of digital transformation initiatives involving data analytics.
  • Data Governance and Policy :
  • Implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Define data ownership, and data quality guidelines.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) Strategy :
  • Design and implement BI solutions that empower decision-makers with actionable insights.
  • Create executive dashboards and reports to track KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Support strategic recommendations based on BI findings.
  • Advanced Analytics :
  • Lead advanced statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in large datasets.
  • Translate complex analytical results into business-friendly insights.
  • Data Architecture and Infrastructure :
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design scalable data architectures.
  • Optimize data pipelines and models for efficiency and reliability.
  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and innovation.
  • Iterate on data strategies based on feedback and evolving business needs.

PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems). PhD degree would be a plus.
  • More than 10 years of work experience in a similar position, in an industrial sector.
  • Proficiency in machine learning and AI modelling.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling (e.g., Power BI).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience in Azure Cloud solutions.
  • Experience in data analytics and mining programming languages (e.g. Python, MATLAB, SQL).
  • Demonstrate a proactive, hands-on approach to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player with ability to work in a fast-paced cross-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience with data governance, data modelling, and data architecture.
  • Industrial process mindset.
  • Familiar with change management methodologies.
  • Fluent in English, a good knowledge of French is strongly appreciated.
