Bioinformatics Scientist / Data Scientist
led by Prof. Dr. Tristan März, is an interdisciplinary research group focused on understanding the pathophysiology of arthritis. Our work integrates in vitro models across diverse cell types and in vivo models of joint injury and inflammatory arthritis to elucidate inflammation and fibrosis-relevant mechanisms that lead to joint disease. Our overarching goal is to identify and target novel molecular mechanisms underlying inflammation and tissue degeneration, with the long-term objective of developing novel disease-modifying therapies.
Project background
We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Scientist / Data Scientist to conduct multi-omics data analysis. This individual will play a key role in analyzing high-dimensional biological datasets, developing and maintaining bioinformatics pipelines, and collaborating closely with experimental scientists to translate computational findings into biological insight. This position is well-suited for candidates ranging from M.S.-level scientists with relevant experience or early- to mid-career PhD-trained researchers seeking an independent and impactful role in an academic research environment.
