SAP Master Data Consultant (m/w/d)
In this position, you will leverage your deep expertise in S/4HANA Material Master and broader master data domains. Your responsibilities will include mapping, harmonizing, validating, and governing master data across multiple interfaces as part of a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the cross functional teams and functions to ensure master data is set up correctly.
- Lead and execute hands-on master data configuration and maintenance across S/4HANA (Material Master, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Source Lists, Purchase Info Records, Bills of Material, Production Versions, etc.).
- Support end-to-end data mapping between legacy systems, 3rd-party systems, and S/4HANA interfaces.
- Drive data harmonization and standardization across business units and functional streams.
- Work closely with functional teams (MM, PP, FI/CO, SD) to define data ownership, governance, and validation rules.
- Contribute to data migration planning, cleansing, load execution, and cutover activities.
- Troubleshoot master data issues and define long-term data quality improvement strategies.
- Provide expertise in master data processes, dependencies, and integration in an S/4HANA landscape.
- Conduct workshops with business & IT stakeholders (German- and English-speaking).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record in large-scale SAP implementations and data migration projects
- 10+ years of SAP Master Data experience, including at least one S/4HANA implementation.
- Deep hands-on expertise in:
- Material Master Profit & Cost Centers and Source Lists / PIRs
- BOMs & Production Versions: General master-data integration concepts and strong understanding of data migration, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ability to work across multiple interfaces and systems in complex landscapes.
- Excellent communication skills with business users and technical teams.
- German language fluency is mandatory; English required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of master-data governance concepts (MDG exposure helpful but not required).
- Previous work experience in Switzerland or DACH region.
