We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Scientist with strong expertise in cell culture, assay development , and automation workflows to contribute to our mission of identifying new small molecule leads for drug discovery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, curious, and adaptable scientist who thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments and is passionate about advancing lab automation and digital transformation.

Start Date : 15 January 2026

Latest Start : 1 February 2026

Duration : 6 months (extension possible up to 1 year)

Workload : 80-100%

Location : Basel (onsite - lab based)

Remote Work : Not available

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate automated cell culture systems to ensure reliable and reproducible results for HTS and Profiling campaigns.
• Optionally contribute to the design and implementation of a new automated cell culture system with an external vendor.
• Plan and execute automated experiments supporting hit identification and lead optimization cycles through biochemical and cellular assays.
• Coordinate experimental logistics including material ordering, data analysis, and documentation .
• Collaborate within cross-functional assay development teams , including experts in cellular, biochemical / biophysical, MS, and RNA-based assays.
• Continuously expand your skills in lab automation, digital workflows , and data-driven science to help shape the Lab of the Future .
