ITS Solution Architect

Job description

Location: Zurich Work Pattern Percentage: 80-100% How you can make an impactThe Solution Architect will work on a variety of projects concurrently and own the end-to-end design from inception through to the completion of delivery. This will involve exposure to a range of business challenges and working with a range of subject matter experts (including third parties) as well as implementation teams or hands on to help address them. Key responsibilities include:

• Technical leadership to define and articulate pragmatic and commercially viable solutions based on functional and non-functional requirements to business challenges or opportunities. Includes ensuring all business, application, information/data, infrastructure and security elements are defined to sufficient detail which allows implementation teams to progress.
• Testing, release/transition and operational/support/service considerations also need to be covered
• Working with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure solutions align with business and technology strategy, or seeking and agreeing (minimal) dispensations where this makes sense for the organisation
• Leading and coordinating subject matter experts (SMEs), both internal and external to Deloitte, where these are involved with solution design and subsequent implementation
• Drive and lead the implementation of approved solutions in close cooperation with subject matter experts (SMEs)and Hands on implementation of approved solutions as per guidance and design
• Identification of “quick wins” or short-term transition architectures (e.g. a minimum viable product) which enables prompt realisation of business benefits at reduced risk, complexity and cost
• The role does not require any line management responsibility.

Who We Are Looking ForEssential:

• Experience of designing and delivering pragmatic and commercially viable solutions to new and existing business challenges or opportunities.
• Must be able to demonstrate experience of defining the business, application, information/data, infrastructure and security elements of a solution and how this met functional and non-functional requirements (including how any exceptions or dispensations were handled)
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both oral and written, including ability to articulate solutions to a senior as well as a detailed/technical audience
• Ability to work with and ensure quality output from SMEs, including those from third parties
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in two or more of the following areas: operating systems, system security, networking, compute, storage/backup, cloud computing and database management (predominately Microsoft stack including Azure)
• Azure Cloud Architect certification or equivalent experience and working knowledge of DevOps tools, automation and methodologies used to deploy solutions within a Cloud platform

Preferred:

• TOGAF accreditation or BCS Chartered Professional, or Fellow in Solution Development & Architecture
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards (e.g. ISO27001, PCI-DSS)
• Ability to communicate in German, both oral and written
