Your tasks
This position is part of the research project “Swiss hospital capacity planning: An empirical evaluation of its impact on hospital service delivery, quality and costs”, funded by the Swiss National Fund (SNF).
As a working student, you will:
- Conduct analyses with empirical methods using large datasets from the Swiss Federal Statistics Office and other sources
- Support literature reviews
- Show initiative and drive your tasks independently and with high motivation
- Work and communicate effectively in a structured manner and cooperate with PhD students on defined tasks
Your profile
We are looking for highly qualified and motivated candidates:
- Outstanding grades in a Master's program in the field of economics or econometrics, or management studies with a clear quantitative focus, or similar with a grade point average of at least 5.0
- Experience in handling large datasets
- Strong analytical skills (e.g., microeconomics, applied econometrics)
- Good knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., R, stata, python) and high motivation to improve econometric skillset
- Outstanding teamwork ability
- Result-oriented working style with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and team spirit
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken; fluent in German is a plus
