Your tasks
- Develop innovative designs of miniaturized radio frequency (RF) connectors and cable assemblies, using various technologies and skills from micromechanics and precision engineering in combination with classical mechanical engineering
- Plan and execute product development projects
- Directly participate in the development / implementation of new technologies, processes, product concepts and products in collaboration with product management and in close coordination with strategy & business development, process engineering specialists and / or customers and suppliers, using innovative design approaches, materials and production processes
- Proactively support the team to expand and increase expertise in the design of miniaturized electro-mechanical systems (especially RF connectors), application of new technologies and use of micro-assembly processes, methodologies and tools
- Apply design for manufacturing, design for assembly, and design to cost approaches
- Perform mechanical and / or electrical design and simulation tasks using CAD and FEM tools
- Participate in the creation / maintenance of documents in PDM and ERP systems, e.g. data sheets, BOM, overview drawings, part drawings, control plans and tolerance chain analysis
- Perform hands-on tasks as required in the development of new products, test methods and production processes
