Head Databases

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated database engineering professional to lead our small, highly skilled team of database engineers. You’ll be responsible for delivering and evolving enterprise-strength database services that power mission-critical applications like Avaloq and e-Banking. This is a key role at the intersection of leadership, engineering, and innovation — driving both on-premises excellence and cloud transformation.

What Would Your Role Be?

• Lead a team of database engineers both technically and organizationally
• Ensure provisioning of stable, secure, high-performing and cost-efficient database services based on Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server
• Drive the transformation of database services to Azure and Oracle Cloud
• Lead the introduction and integration of PostgreSQL into our platform portfolio
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams for seamless operations
• Continuously improve service quality and engineering standards
