OT Network & System Engineer

Your main responsibilities

• Responsible for evaluating, improving and maintaining the Asset Management platform linked to the asset portfolio: wind, solar, batteries, small hydroelectric and thermal power plants (located throughout Europe).
• Responsible for establishing OT connections and security between international assets, the local TSO and the Asset Management platform.
• Actively monitor the operating status of Alpiq's assets and consult regularly with local staff on the operating status.
• Ensure the due diligence process from an OT and OT security perspective when acquiring new assets.
• Providing OT support for assets under construction.
• Ensuring that the SCADA environment meets commercial and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with the OT security team and helping to strengthen system security.
• Helping to draft technical documentation, user manuals and maintenance procedures.

Your profile

• Experience with various SCADA/OT communication and data acquisition protocols (configuration and troubleshooting): Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, OPC DA, OPC UA, IEC-61850, 60870-5-101, 60870-5-104
• Experience with different types of SCADA technology providers (networks, servers, controllers/programmable logic controllers, RTUs).
• Experience with different types of OT infrastructure, including design.
• Clear understanding of the distinction between OT and IT, external interfaces, communication protocols and security measures.
• Experience with OT security principles and best practices.
• Strong ability to collaborate with the OT security team and respond to requests from other business units regarding OT architectures, control systems and user management.
• Fluent in French and English
