GL Accountant

Our client is an international private company located in Geneva.The GL Accountant we are looking for will be working on the following responsibilities : General ledger ownership including bookkeepingClose the books on time and accurately according to Local and US GAAP standardsEnsure completeness, integrity and quality of P&L and Balance sheet in adherence to internal controlsProvide account analysis and reconciliation of the Balance sheet accounts (Banks, Fixed Assets, Accounts receivables, Intercompany etc.)Communicate P&L result to various levels of management and provide result analysisParticipate in the on-going SOX project and fulfil all SOX requirementsFulfil statutory requirements including account preparation, participation in audit and filingReview and improve current accounting processesMaintain close relationship with the market to improve reporting and information flowsParticipate in VAT and quarterly auditsParticipate in various finance projects and initiatives as neededDevelop abilities to comprehend and explain to all levels of management the variances in expected results8-month mission starting in JanuaryInternational private company located in GenevaThe selected GL Accountant will come with the following background and experience : University degree in Accounting or FinanceAt least 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance positionPro-active, can-do attitude, self-driven, adaptable and reliableFluency in English and FrenchIT skills : Excellent computer skills, especially with Excel.
