Business & Application Support Engineer (6 months)

Salary : CHF 80’000 - 140’000 per year

Requirements :

• Degree in Information Systems (for example Bachelor HES or similar) and a strong interest for IT
• 3 years of experience in operational support, ideally in a banking or fintech environment
• Your skill set includes the following : Windows / Unix / Linux environment, SQL and scripting (Python, Bash), Git
• Good knowledge of French and strong working knowledge of English (minimum B2)
• Strong problem-solving skills and eager to work on critical systems
• A strong interest in the fintech / banking world as well as a strong sense of customer service

Responsibilities :

This is a 6-month fixed-term position, which may be renewed or re-evaluated at the end of the term.

After a short training period on our technologies (Oracle database, Python-based tools) and our internal systems, as well as an introduction to the trading world, you will :

Assist numerous departments of Swissquote on issues relating to the technical aspects of our platforms.

Proceed to the first step of investigation and solve complex and critical cases.

Maintain, operate and update our customer databases using your SQL knowledge.

Develop new automation tools to continuously improve the performance of the support of our systems.

Investigate issues for our clients and other departments.

Provide level 2 and 3 support for our clients.

Develop and optimize internal tools.

Provide complex database extractions (SQL) for other departments.

Coordinate with development teams to solve critical cases.

Participate in the daily monitoring of our IT Systems by executing and implementing specific checks.

Be open to joining an on-call rotation to provide 24 / 7 support in the long term.

Are you ready to take on a key role at the intersection of technology and banking? Join our service Application & Business Support, which provides support for all internally developed applications.

Your skills will help ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our services. As part of a service of 23 people organized into four teams, you’ll work on analyzing complex issues, investigating incidents, and implementing practical solutions to maintain system stability.

In this role, you’ll also use your scripting skills to develop temporary fixes and improve processes while collaborating with other teams to address technical challenges. Your contributions will be essential in supporting our internal ecosystem and ensuring its continued performance.
