Our client is offering a highly attractive and entrepreneurial opportunity for a Senior Private Equity Investment Manager (Pre Partner or Partner level) with a focus on direct investments in companies that can catalyze solutions for plastic waste . S / He will join a growing team in a Bank that has a long term commitment to sustainability and who is focused on performance and the quality of service it delivers to its clients.
You will join a global business of more than 120 investment professionals and a network of 13 offices across Europe, Asia and North America. You will be part of their growing private-equity team who has been successfully investing for more than 15 years in private-equity. You will be one of the earliest and leading contributors to a plastic circularity investment strategy seeking to realize direct and co-investment private-equity investments in companies that can catalyze solutions to plastic waste.
In this role, your main responsibilities will include the following :
- Develop an investment thesis by leveraging internal and external contributors.
- Develop a pipeline of opportunities and a network in the plastics circularity space.
- Lead the due diligence process for investments opportunities from start to finish, (strategic review, valuation, deal structuring, negotiation, documentation) with the support of investment managers and analysts.
- Animate the portfolio to create shareholder value (at investees board level) and periodically update the portfolio strategy.
- Expand the network of co-investors, strategic buyers, advisors in the relevant spheres and make the project visible to relevant stakeholders.
- Challenge and strengthen the strategy.
- Assist asset and wealth management sales teams in fundraising activities and if possible through your own network raise funds.
Skills and Experience sought :
10-15 years of professional experience of which 10 years of direct private-equity investments experience in growth capital or small / mid-market LBO.A proven track-record of successful (direct) investments (minority or majority) and exits.Ability to source deals creatively and to lead deals and manage investments independently.Experience at board level and in maximize shareholders value in partnership with management.An existing network in Europe of advisors, consultants, companies and investors in a sector relevant to the plastic circularity strategy.Required sector experience in the industrial, consumer, packaging, chemical or material sectors.Strong sustainability convictions and a deep interest in the circular economy.Independent thinker with excellent analytical skills.High level of ambition and resilience.Team player, willing to contribute to a partnership.Strong team management skills and willingness to coach and share knowledge with other team members.Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of French or additional language is a strong asset.Location :
Preferred location is Geneva.Zurich or London are alternative options, but frequent travels to Geneva will be required.
