The Senior Director Distribution and Customer Services has Europe Regional scope and responsibilities, the position reports into the Sr VP Commercial Operations. He / She oversees the strategic planning, coordination and execution of distribution operations for Be One Products, ensuring seamless alignment of physical and financial flows. This role manages relationships with distributors, wholesalers, third-party logistics provides (3PL) and channel partners, while leveraging people process and systems for to lead / support internal and 3rd parties in the order-to-cash (OTC) process. The Senior Director is also responsible for designing, building and managing Customer Services portfolio The Senior Director is a proactive leader with expertise in pharmaceutical distribution, temperature-controlled products, wholesaler, inventory management, channel management and customer services working with Finance, Quality, Regulatory and Tax. The Senior Director is responsible for an opex budget of ~5M USD, this for the following sites currently in operation Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, United Kingdom, Italy and is supported with a leadership team of 4, who have 10 direct reports, across Order-To-Invoice, Invoice to Cash and Operations.

Distribution Strategy for Europe : Maintain and or develop a comprehensive distribution strategy for Europe. ensure timely, cost-effective and compliant delivery of Be One Products (ambient and cold chain) aligning physical product flow with financial objectives.

Wholesaler Management : Select onboard and manage relationships with wholesalers to ensure alignment with company standards, inventory requirements, and market demands. Monitor wholesaler performance through SAP analytics to optimize stock levels and financial goals.

Channel Management : Oversee Distribution channels from direct to pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers and specialty pharmacy networks, to ensure effective market penetration and customer satisfaction, coordinating with sales and marketing teams to align channel strategy.

Customer Services : Design, build, and manage a comprehensive customer service portfolio that aligns with organizational goals and enable “beyond the pill differentiation”. Implement innovative programs to enhance customer satisfaction, oversee daily operations to ensure high-quality service delivery, and monitor customer feedback for continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer needs effectively, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on service effectiveness while fostering a culture of excellence through ongoing training and development initiatives.

SAP ERP Order-to-Cash : Provide oversight of the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process within SAP ERP, encompassing order management, customer validation, credit management, pricing administration, delivery scheduling, invoicing, and payment application and collections for distributors, wholesalers, and channel partners. Ensure close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (i.e. Commercial, Finance, 3rd Parties) to maintain alignment between operational processes and financial reporting requirements, supporting accurate and compliant revenue recognition.

Inventory Management : The position conducts inventory reconciliation, including managing inventory counts and audits, to ensure accuracy between physical stock, SAP records, and 3PL / wholesaler reports, resolving discrepancies promptly in collaboration with 3PL providers. The Lead oversees SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) management, ensuring accurate tracking, categorization, and availability at 3PL warehouses and wholesaler inventories.

GDP Compliance : Ensure that all is working to support the management and dimensions surrounding GDP in all the locations under the responsibility of Distribution. Setting up, monitoring processes to ensure timely monthly, quarter and year end close-outs and the implementation of new ones, in a matrix collaboration and alignment with other functional SME.

Tender & Invoice to Cash Management oversees / supports transactional aspects of the order-to-cash process. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, he / she will be responsible for and / or support, monitoring and implementation of the company’s credit / customer policies, tender management, credit checks, credit limits, to ensure timely implantation, reporting, and monitoring according to policies. The role works with the internal and external finance counterparts at our contracted 3PLs within Europe.

Continuous Improvement / Performance Monitoring : Working with all internal / external parties on finding efficient and compliant ways to continuously drive down costs, Target Operating Model revision and optimization, ERP processes and functionalities enhancement to maximize daily business efficiency and reporting capabilities

New Product Introduction : Lead and guide teams to achieve roll-out of upcoming new products, define the approach to ensure that sustainability is maintained and that new products can flow through existing processes, procedures and systems, and / or identify and implement alternative process and requirements driven by product characteristics

Budget Responsibilities : The position is responsible to creating and maintain a budget relating to all activities surrounding distribution Head Count, 3PL, Order to Cash, Pick / Pack, Storage and shipping. This is done by way of Long Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Operation Plan (AOP).

Essential Functions of the job :

Strong leadership and team-building skills Coaches, Leads and Manages 4 direct reports Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset Advanced Customer customer needs understanding and ability to transpose those needs into added value generating sercices Establish LRP / AOP Budget for storage, distribution and transportation Excellent communication and interpersonal ability to interact with all Heads of Functions within Be One, that impact strategice deployment and or day-to-day operations. Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions and Ensure that the Department meets its budget goals, and supports & develops continuous improvement, in the remit of Order to Cash, Warehousing and Transportation. Demonstrated ability to drive change and manage organizational growth. Coordinates with Business Functions to ensure that launch schedule and deadlines are met and if deviations occur that they are reported accordingly. Periodic Reporting of distribution KPIS such as On time Delivery, Cost to Serve, OTIF are broadcast. Proficiency in strategic planning and project management Participates in the process and clarifies any missing elements. Develops and leads strategy surrounding product to ensure that product is delivered at a cheaper price by way of running cost saving initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Manage a team of 4 direct reports (Associate Directors) and coach and ensure their team members 10 (3x Customer Coordinator, Transport Management, Inventory Management, Channel Management, Vendor Management) understand strategic vision and planning.

Be The Voice of Distribution in internal meetings, relating to product delivery, financial initiatives and customer Satisfaction

Active coordination with Country (Commercial), Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and outsourced Vendors such as 3PL.

Computer Skills :  SAP SD (Preferred), MM, FICO a plus. MS Offfice

Other Qualifications : GDP and Cold Chain Knowledge a plus.

Language Requirements : English, and other European Language a plus

Travel : Approximately 30%

Education : Bachelors with 15years + of experience in Pharma / Medical Device (Biotech) Preferred.
