Credit Risk Officer or Senior Credit Risk Officer

ING is a world-leading universal bank with activities performed out of a range of continents and countries one of them being Switzerland. ING Switzerland is currently looking for a Credit Risk Officer to re-enforce its Credit Risk team.

ING Switzerland has been a fast growing franchise serving a range of clients; mainly in the Trade and Commodity Finance sphere but also in the general industries business with a dedicated team focused on the large Swiss Corporates and local branches of International companies. The local commercial activities are supported by a team of enthusiastic and experienced credit risk officers to ensure a balanced risk approach. The Credit Risk team forms part of the local Risk Organization (Compliance and Operational Risk) and consists of teams focused on TCF clients Corporate clients and ESG risk.

Position : Credit Risk Officer or Senior Risk Officer with a focus on the Trade and Commodity Finance portfolio (metals & softs portfolio)

Tasks and responsibilities :

• Performs an in-depth analysts on the credit applications submitted by account management including financial analysis business risk structure risk country risk etc.
• Pro-actively shares the risk appetite with the account management function to maintain a common risk culture including providing guidance on the structuring of the facilities (covenants tenors).
• Maintains an active dialogue with account management Head-Office Risk management and local senior management on portfolio management (incl. early warning indicators) client development (join client meetings) and upcoming proposals.
• Provides a written credit opinion during the credit application process (including one-off transactional approvals) to local and / or global decision makers highlighting in the advice the key risks mitigants and suggestions to improve the request.
• Ensures the quality and consistency of the credit applications and checks the compliance of the application versus INGs credit policies.
• Reviews legal documentation in consultationwith ING Legal ensures the post-approval follow-up (conditions / limit adjustments) and reviews / approves the risk ratings.
• Participates in projects (internal regulatory) and executes their deliverables (regular reporting data quality monitoring budgeting controls audits).
