Embedded Software Engineer – e‑Bike Systems (80–100%)
To strengthen our e‑Bike Systems Engineering team in Cham, Switzerland , we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join us as soon as possible or by mutual agreement. In this role, you will contribute to the development of next‑generation e‑bike systems, with a strong focus on Human‑Machine Interfaces (HMI) .
Role Overview
As part of the Systems Engineering team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software for our e‑bike platforms throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable firmware and seamless system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of future e‑bike systems as a member of the Systems Engineering team
- Design, implement, deploy, and maintain HMI firmware across the full product lifecycle
- Develop and maintain communication protocols interfacing with the broader system, including internal (retailer) tools and rider applications
- Maintain and manage the main software repository in collaboration with internal development teams
- Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of issues reported from the field
- Design and implement automated unit and integration tests
- Create and maintain clear and comprehensive design and technical documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience writing and debugging embedded software, including drivers, modules, and applicationsHands‑on experience with Zephyr OS, Git, Make, CMake, C, Python, and BashExperience working in a collaborative, team‑based software development environmentKnowledge of CAN bus, BLE, and ANT+ protocols is a plusExperience with PCB analysis is an advantageFamiliarity with Jira, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools is an advantageAbility to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environmentExcellent English skills, both written and spoken
