Senior System Architect Engineer – PLC Controller (m / f / d)

SBC Switzerland is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced System Engineer Architect to lead the design and development of our next-generation PLC controller systems . This role is critical in shaping the architecture of our industrial automation solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across diverse applications.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, software, and product management to define system-level requirements and drive architectural decisions from concept to production. You will work on a 3 / 2 Hybrid basis working from either Rolle or Givisie.

• Architect and design system-level solutions for PLC controllers, integrating hardware, firmware, and software components.
• Define and maintain system requirements , interface specifications, and performance benchmarks.
• Lead technical reviews , risk assessments, and validation strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure modular, scalable, and maintainable system architectures.
• Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and tools aligned with long-term product strategy.
• Support compliance and certification efforts (., IEC 61131, industrial communication protocols).
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and documentation standards.
