Microcaps is an ETH Zurich spin-off founded in March 2019. Our unique technology allows us to produce highly precise and innovative microcapsules that empower materials to unlock new capabilities; all tailored to various markets from cosmetics to nutraceutical and pharma.

Our first commercial focus is a genuine breakthrough for the perfume industry: alcohol‑free fine fragrances. We already have our first products on the market with reputable brand partners and are now preparing global launches to establish Microcaps as the reference for next‑generation fragrance bases.

With our dedicated perfume factory being finalized in 2025, our mission for 2026 is clear: make alcohol‑free fine fragrance available worldwide.

To strengthen our team in Zurich-Schlieren we are looking for a:

Marketing Intern, 100%

As Marketing Intern, you will play a key role at the core of our sales, marketing and commercial strategy. As part of the commercial team supporting our co-CEOs, you will collaborate on managing key accounts, designing and executing go‑to‑market campaigns, building the sales pipeline, and guiding customers from their first proof‑of‑concept to a successful product launch. Because our work spans both strategic and operational areas, we are looking for a curious, adaptable individual with a broad set of interests and skills to join our team.

Tasks

• Contribute to a variety of marketing and sales initiatives led by the commercial team, including projects ranging from brand redesigns to B2B sales strategy and business development.
• Plan and execute marketing activities such as content creation, newsletters, webinars, social media management, and the development of print materials.
• Assist in organizing our participation in exhibitions and events
• Support sales efforts by providing the sales team with compelling pitch decks and marketing collateral

Requirements

• Marketing affinity: You have a genuine passion for marketing and sales and enjoy applying a commercial perspective to technical products. Ideally, you hold a bachelor’s degree in a marketing-related field and have gained initial work experience through a previous job or internship
• Eager to learn: While you don’t need deep technical expertise upfront, you should be curious and ready to dive into new topics—learning quickly and building knowledge alongside the team
• Proactive mindset: As a young company, our environment is fast-moving and ever-changing. We’re looking for someone who thrives on variety, takes initiative, and embraces new challenges with enthusiasm
• Collaborative spirit: We value open-minded team players who contribute to a diverse, supportive, and ambitious environment. At Microcaps, everyone’s input matters, and we grow by learning, challenging, and celebrating together
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken); French and/or German are strong plus
• Work permit in Switzerland
