Network Team Leader

The Vaud Hospitals Network (Head of Network Team) is the preferred partner of more than 12 hospitals and regional healthcare institutions in the canton of Vaud. The FHVi supports them in the many challenges of digital transformation in the healthcare field and has the main missions of planning, designing, implementing, and operating the information system for its members. There are more than 110 services dedicated to a fleet of over 500 workstations distributed across about a hundred geographical sites and in three cantons (VD, VS, FR). As the Head of the Network Team within the Infrastructure department of FHVi, you will take managerial responsibility for the network team composed of 6 engineers. You will ensure the performance, availability, and security of the LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networks of FHVi and its partner establishments, spread across about a hundred sites. You will lead development projects, ensure the technical coherence of the scope, coordinate team activities, and contribute to the definition of standards and procedures. Your main missions include:Management & Leadership:- Manage and support the 6 members of the network team.- Plan and prioritize activities, distribute tasks, monitor workload, and ensure deadlines are met.- Foster skill development (coaching, knowledge sharing).- Organize and lead team meetings, establish and evolve internal procedures.- Instill a spirit of mutual support and quality service.Network Oversight:- Supervise the handling of service requests: tickets, changes, network, security tools.- Oversee and validate the management of complex incidents (N3), both on the internal network and on partner establishments' networks.- Ensure the quality of monitoring, analyze performance issues, and initiate corrective actions.- Monitor network availability and ensure high availability of critical environments.Architecture, Evolution, and Security:- Contribute to the design and evolution of LAN (wired and Wi-Fi), WAN infrastructures, and/or oversee the deployment of new network and security standards at remote sites.- Coordinate ongoing security management: L4/L7 filtering, NAC, proxy, related to major technical projects: onboarding new medical/technical solutions, mobility, IoT, critical infrastructures.- Work closely with security teams, systems, and engage with business leaders and partner establishments.- Provide regular reporting to management: risks, major incidents, project progress.- Manage relationships with suppliers and technology partners.Required Experience:- Engineer with proven experience (minimum 10 years) in network/security, including initial experience in technical supervision or management.- Knowledge in routing/switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MSTP, VTP) on equipment and skills in firewall technologies (clusters, zoning, filtering) are desired.- Preferred certifications: CCNA or CCNP.- Appreciated knowledge: Cisco ISE (NAC), Cisco, Aruba (Wi-Fi), Fortinet, programming (Python, Ansible, API).- Familiarity with Microsoft, Linux environments, and open-source tools.Personal Qualities:- Leadership, ability to unify and enhance team skills.- Good listening, pedagogy, good methodology, and spirit of collaboration.- Reactivity, ability to manage priorities and strict adherence to procedures.Languages:- French: very good oral and written proficiency.- English: good level.What we offer you:- A stimulating opportunity to evolve in the healthcare sector, a constantly evolving and meaningful field.- The possibility to actively contribute to ambitious digital-related projects in progress.- A pleasant working environment, located in the green site of Cery in Prilly, within a human-sized structure, where team spirit and closeness are valued.- Employment conditions according to those in force at FHV: 13th salary, 25 days of vacation per year (30 days after age 50).- Access to continuous training to support your professional development.- Possibility of teleworking for on-site subsidized tasks and accessibility facilitated by public transport. jidcae6731aen jit0310aen jpiy26aen
