Information and Communication Officer I

in the field of Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) in renewable energy.

The successful candidate will work in the project management unit of the SWEET program “Enabling Decentralized renewable Generation in the Swiss cities, midlands, and the Alps (EDGE)” (www.sweet-edge.ch) funded by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy until 2027. The program is co-lead by École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the University of Geneva. It involves 15 academic research teams and over 60 partners from industry, public authorities, and other stakeholder institutions throughout Switzerland. EDGE seeks to fast-track the growth of locally-sourced decentralized renewable energy in Switzerland and to ensure that by 2035 and 2050, when ambitious shares of renewable energy are reached, the Swiss energy system is designed and operated in a technically and economically optimal as well as secure way, and that it is well positioned in the European markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for Knowledge and Technology Transfer and external communication and dissemination of the EDGE program. The workplace is in Geneva.

Titre et compétences exigés

In order to qualify for the position, the candidates are required to have :

  • At least 3 years of work experience in the field of energy or climate change, with preference for experience in industry or public administration;
  • Familiarity with the Swiss energy context, policy, and key stakeholder groups, with preference for having already established network of contacts in the energy field;
  • Experience in the areas of Knowledge and Technology Transfer, communication, and dissemination, including social media and participatory stakeholder engagement;
  • Excellent organizational skills and goal-oriented, proactive attitude;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English as well as French or German.
