Job Summary
Main Responsibilities
- Provide field support for commissioning and qualification of utility and process systems monitored and controlled by theDeltaVDCS, including :
Black and Clean Utility generation, storage, and distribution systems
HVAC systems for both classified and non-classified areasEnvironmental Monitoring SystemCompounding and SIP / CIP systemsAdditional systems as requiredExecute and review commissioning and qualification test protocols using theKNEAT electronic documentation system, covering :Sequence of operation testing (start-up, hold, abort, stop, emergency stop sequences)
Control loop tuningPump and fan testingAlarm and interlock testingTroubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, with proactive issue escalationSupport integrated commissioning of the DeltaV system software, hardware, and interfacesEnsure reliable operation of automated systems by providing hands-on engineering support for troubleshooting control system and operational issuesAssist the project team in gathering information to facilitate timely decision-making, minimizing cost, timeline, and quality impactsGuide and support field execution to ensure all equipment is commissioned per company standards, procedures, and cGMP complianceDocument issues through KNEAT and raise project changes as necessary to ensure timely resolutionsProvide coaching and training to team members to enhance overall team knowledge for fast-track commissioningEnsure C&Q field execution is conducted safely and in accordance with HSE standards, including oversight of Lock-Out-Tag-Out preparation, RAMS preparation, PSHR completion, Method Statements, and start-up activitiesSkills / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or trade qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Process Control, or related field)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively5 to 10 years of process commissioning experience, with at least 3 years in utility system commissioning (preferred)Minimum 3 years of hands-on DeltaV DCS commissioning and troubleshooting experience, including use of DeltaV Operate / Live and Control Studio (essential)Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements and Codes of Practices for the Life Sciences industry (desirable)Experience using KNEAT for CQV test execution (desirable)Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; German is a plusConsiderable experience with cGMPField CQV execution experienceAbility to work well under pressure and within strict deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively in a diverse team, showing respect for all membersFlexibility to work shifts or extended hours as required, in line with legal working time regulationsSthree Switzerland is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
