Your main responsibilities
- Fostering strong compliance culture throughout the Group
- Designing, maintaining and improving the Group’s Compliance Management System for compliance with financial regulations and market integrity rules (including REMIT / MAR, EMIR / FinfraG, MiFID, etc.)
- Managing the Algorithmic Trading Framework
- Setting up and implementing trade compliance communication programme and trainings
- Investigating potential breaches of financial and market integrity rules, providing related advice and recommendations and determined possible actions
- Managing enquiries from regulators and regulatory investigations and procedures
- Ensuring ongoing trade compliance monitoring and reporting to relevant stakeholders
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the various lines of business in Alpiq and apply internal and external standards to commercial activity to ensure appropriate Compliance risk mitigations
- Advising on trade compliance aspects
Your profile
University degree or other professional qualification in law, economics or other relevant fieldSeveral years of professional experience in the field of trade compliance in an international company, preferably in a commodity trading company or bank with a focus on wholesale energy productsLeadership experience, including senior stakeholder managementProfound knowledge regarding Europe-wide best practice standards in trade complianceUnderstanding of energy industry, in particular power, of advantageKnow-how in the field of internal investigationsPersonal gravitas and ability to challenge others, ability to find and propose alternative solutions. Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to inspire trust and promote cross-functional collaborationTeam-oriented with the ability to work independently and share knowledge and learnings broadlyBusiness fluent in English, additional languages, in particular German and French, of advantageNo agencies please - candidates to apply directly - thank you!
